Dr. Simon Trosien has been intensively involved in science management and the acquisition of funding for research and development for the past 10 years. Therefore, he has been involved in several large interdisciplinary, transdisciplinary and cross-sectoral collaborative projects, in many of them as coordinator. Among others, he has contributed significantly to the successful application of DFG CRCs, FOR, large joint research projects of the EU/EC, the BMWi, the BMEL and the Hessian Excellence Initiative "LOEWE", whereby double-digit million amounts were acquired - more than 9 million EUR as managing director of fundsbuero in the last three years.
Scientifically, Dr. Trosien has strong expertise in lignin and cellulose chemistry, paper and fiber functionalization, organic chemistry, surface chemistry, bio-based materials, coatings, chemical analysis and surface analysis (Publications on Google Schoolar).
Personally, Dr. Trosien provides very good planning skills, an always clear overview of all pending tasks, including prioritizations, and maximum reliability.
